Lift check valves and swing check valves

A lift check valve has a cone as its operating member, which automatically prevents the inverse flow. Compared to that, a swing check valve has a valve plate as its operating member.

Lift check valves are applicable in normal operation as well as in emergency situations.

Swing check valves and lift check valves are direct-acting mechanisms, which have certain construction differences and can be mounted on different (vertical and horizontal) areas of the pipeline. The right medium flow direction must be considered.

The production technology of check valves involves the usage of such materials as high-class steels (cast or forged), as well as cast iron. To ensure the tight connection, flanges or butt-weld ends from the same material as the pipe or a comparable one are foreseen.
